Summer School
Summer School 2026
Summer School 2026 will be offered from May 28 – June 30, 2026 at the following locations:
- Joplin Early Childhood
- Dover Hill Elementary
- Irving Elementary
- Soaring Heights Elementary
- East Middle School
- Joplin High School (including Roi S Wood and FTC)
- Duenweg Education Center (including Beacon Autism)
Summer School Hours
- Elementary - 7:35am to 3:05pm
- Middle - 8:20am to 3:40pm
- High - 8:30am to 3:30pm
Summer School Transportation
- Summer bus routes will be available in May on our Bus Routes page.
- JEC and Special Education students’ families will be contacted directly to arrange transportation.
Summer School Meals
- All students will receive free breakfast and lunch.
How to Enroll for Summer School:
NOTE: The following process will not be available until March or April 2026.
- Current Joplin Schools students (or incoming students who have already pre-registered for the 2026-27 academic year): In your PowerSchool Parent Portal account or PowerSchool app, click on Forms, then Summer School 2026 to register. For help accessing your PowerSchool account, visit our parent portal instruction slides.

Elementary: Thursday, May 28
Middle School: Thursday, May 28
High School: no open house planned
JEC: no open house planned
