Today we are celebrating our Joplin Schools Support Staff of the Year winner, Aaron Brown!

Aaron is the Technology Lead at Joplin High School and FTC providing exemplary service to students and staff that regularly extends beyond typical job duties. Nominators noted Aaron's placement as the driving force behind numerous initiatives that have transformed the way JHS & FTC educators and students interact with technology. His proactive approach in implementing state-of-the-art digital tools—ranging from interactive whiteboards to comprehensive learning management systems—has significantly enriched classroom instruction and fostered an engaging learning environment.

Aaron’s dedication goes beyond simply installing and maintaining technology; he is a true partner to teachers. He has developed and led several professional development workshops, equipping educators with the confidence and skills needed to integrate digital resources into their curricula effectively. His patient and accessible demeanor makes him a trusted resource for colleagues facing technical challenges, and his timely solutions have repeatedly ensured minimal disruptions to classroom learning.

Aaron was recognized earlier today at a JHS Baseball game where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch. He will also be celebrated later this spring with a cash award from the Joplin Schools Foundation.
