Summer School 2025

Summer School 2025 will be offered from May 29 – June 27, 2025 at the following locations:

Joplin Early Childhood
Dover Hill Elementary
Irving Elementary
Soaring Heights Elementary
North Middle School
Joplin High School (including Roi S Wood and FTC)
Duenweg Education Center (including Beacon Autism)

Summer School Hours

Elementary - 7:35am to 3:05pm
Middle - 8:20am to 3:40pm
High - 8:30am to 3:30pm

Summer School Transportation

Summer bus route information will be available shortly before Summer School begins. This page will be updated with a link when it is available.

Summer School Meals

All students will receive free breakfast and lunch.

How to Enroll for Summer School:

Current Joplin Schools students (or incoming students who have already pre-registered for the 2025-26 academic year): In your PowerSchool Parent Portal account or PowerSchool app, click on Forms, then Summer School 2025 to register. For help accessing your PowerSchool account, visit our parent portal instruction slides.

Students who are not currently enrolled in Joplin Schools: Complete the Summer School registration form by visiting the school registration page. (Please do not use this link for existing Joplin Schools students or those who have already registered for the 2025-26 academic year.)

Kindergarten Jumpstart

Kindergarten Jumpstart is a summer school program that invites incoming kindergarten students to get a jump start on their school year!

Students are enrolled in a summer school classroom and will become acclimated to the habits and rhythms of a typical school day including lessons, naptime, breakfast and lunch, recess, restroom breaks, standing in line, making new friends, and so much more. Jumpstart will run alongside the district’s elementary schedule from 7:35am to 3:05pm each weekday from May 29 through June 27, 2025.

Where will your kindergartner attend Jumpstart?

If your student will be enrolled at Cecil Floyd, Dover Hill, or Jefferson elementary schools for the 2025-26 school year, they will attend Jumpstart at DOVER HILL ELEMENTARY.
If your student will be enrolled at Irving, Kelsey Norman, or Stapleton elementary schools for the 2025-26 school year, they will attend Jumpstart at IRVING ELEMENTARY.
If your student will be enrolled at Eastmorland, McKinley, Royal Heights, or Soaring Heights elementary schools for the 2025-26 school year, they will attend Jumpstart at SOARING HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
