Celebrating Staff Excellence at FTC!

Please join us in congratulating Franklin Technology Center Special Services Coordinator Betsy Anderson, recipient of the 2026 Missouri Association for Career and Technical Education Counseling & Career Development Professional Award!
Presented through the Missouri Association for Career Services, the award recognizes an outstanding professional who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to student success, inspires students to explore career opportunities, and connects students with meaningful experiences that prepare them for their futures.
Anderson has made a lasting impact on students through her dedication to career exploration, credential attainment, and Career and Technical Education. In her role at Franklin Technology Center, she coordinates Industry Recognized Credential testing and works behind the scenes to ensure students have opportunities to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have gained through their CTE programs.
She also plays an important role in SkillsUSA, helping students develop technical and employability skills while building leadership, confidence, and professionalism. Her work provides students with opportunities to grow beyond the classroom and recognize what they are capable of achieving.
“Betsy does so much of the work that happens behind the scenes to make sure our students have opportunities to be successful,” said Kaci Dorton, Director of Franklin Technology Center. “She never seeks recognition for what she does, which makes this award even more special. Her dedication to our students, our programs, and CTE has made a tremendous impact on Franklin Technology Center.”
Congratulations, Betsy! We are so proud of the heart and hard work you bring to FTC and Joplin Schools!
