Joplin Adult Education and Literacy has met the educational needs of Missouri’s southwest region for 43 years. We prepare students for passing the high school equivalency exam, ACT, SAT, COMPASS, TABE, and ASVAB tests. Adults may come to study for any reason – be a superhero helping children with their homework!

We provide an initial intake, administer the appropriate level Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test, create an individualized learning plan, and administer the appropriate post-test (TABE/Official HiSET® Practice Test) to the learner. We offer group classes and one-on-one instruction in reading, math, and writing. These services are free.
