Why should you join the Joplin Schools Alumni Association?

With a rich and impactful legacy of alumni dating back from Joplin Schools’ earliest beginnings in 1885, there are many thousands of successful Joplin graduates in our history. The goal of the Joplin Schools Alumni Association (JSAA), facilitated by the Joplin Schools Foundation, is to connect, celebrate, honor, and share opportunities with those graduates. Here are some of our goals.

  • Connectivity: JSAA will provide alumni with opportunities to connect at different points of life.
  • Recognition: JSAA will serve as a venue to recognize and appreciate alumni for their many accomplishments.
  • Opportunity: Give back to your school through JSAA. You can donate your time or expertise, or make contributions to your alma mater.
  • Career Networking: Connect with other alumni in your field, share information, and learn about careers and internships.
  • Stay Involved: Keep up to date with Joplin Schools through JSAA’s website, publications, social media, and calendar of events.

The Joplin Schools Foundation serves as the governing board for JSAA alongside their constant support for students and programs throughout the district. JSAA is still in the early stages of development, so please check back soon or follow us on Facebook.

Are you planning a reunion?

 Welcome back to Joplin Schools!

If you’re planning a reunion, here are some things to keep in mind. Please contact Communications@JoplinSchools.org with questions or details.

Let us show you around!
Tours are available as staffing allows. Most commonly, tours are given of Joplin High School (20th & Indiana) and Memorial Education Center (8th & Pearl), but others can be arranged as needed.

Need some swag?
If your class is creating a fundraiser, Joplin Schools may be able to provide a gift basket of Eagles Swag in support. Let’s talk about it! 

Join the Alumni Association!
We are in the early phases of building an alumni database and may be able to provide contact information for alumni who have registered that information with us. 

We’ll promote your Reunion! 
Please share your reunion details with us so we can help spread the word on our Alumni Facebook Page or with alumni who reach out for information.

Do you have reunion photos to share?
Please send them to Communications@JoplinSchools.org so we can highlight your class celebrations!

Bring Your Own Bus!
Using District bus services for tours or between community locations is not allowable at this time.
